From the coast I can see. I can see you waiting for me. Get me high, watch me die, lay me down in the rising tide.
3.
With the morning light approaching I can hear it call my name, take a sip of something special, read stories of the day. Wait and wait and listen while you are coming home, tell me where you've been and tell me where you go. The song you sing is quiet and no one seems to care, your voice is all around us the stillness in the air. Day by day your gettin late the chill is all around, the light you bring is gettin dim and your nowhere to be found Fellow, Fellow! Where did you go? I think I know! Way down below.

Evergreen 03:10
There's always mist in the sky. I don't know why You've got that beautiful look in your eye. I can't deny. The Ruby Beach sings a song, the evergreens sing along. Four hundred years ago the water went down the hole. Drink it and we shall find the magic in the pines. We stand where the west meets the east. Don't want to leave. Your smile puts my mind back at ease. I can't believe. The tide moves the mountains along, the sun sleeps in mirrors in its home. Millions of years ago, the water gave up its soul. Drink it and we shall find the magic in the pines.

Sunny silence sings a song now. Wind and hair and air my company. Take the time to think it over take the time to let it be. Left my soul in carolina, left my heart in tennessee, left my mind in arizona but where I live is where I breathe. Across this land there is something a big blue sky and some history like the canyon at sundown I have seen all your mystery Pacific ocean shines like diamonds, california stars will set you free. Blue ridge mountains soothe my soul now, travel round and you will see.
6.
The Ghost 03:43
I'm amazed by your beauty, you stand alone above the sea. I have seen what does surround you and you humble them and you humble me. Ghost Like the wind you carry magic, like the stars you are unknown. Can't understand what you are saying but I can feel your undertones. Ghost I have lived with you before now and I will live with you again. But for now I still am waiting, I wait for you to let me in. Ghost.
7.
In Your Head 04:30
Lost my boat under the sea. A stormy mountain it will cover me. Ain't nuthin deeper than sand and foam. Ain't nuthin stronger than hearts and bones. It's in my head and now I know. Forest is falling to the ground. The water is rising in your hometown. Where do the clouds go in the changing sky? Where does the ground go when you try to fly? It's in your head and now you know. The people are fighting on how to live. It seems we've forgotten how to forgive. It runs much deep than sticks and stones, to live is to be alive but to love is to be soul. It's in your head and now you know.

Who lives here in the golden valley? So far and wide you can't hide from your captains eye. From meadow below to way up high, it follows you wherever you may go. And as I drive through the tunnel its staring me right in the face. I've been here before came through the iron door. I laughed till I cried, I cried till I laughed. Saluted the sun and I told it thanks for the fun. I laid my head to rest on a bed of stars. Rise and shine your valley is also mine. Wherever I roam I call it my home.
9.
Desert Sky 03:47
Down the road with you my dear the highways yours and mine. Together we will watch time pass us by like the stars in the desert sky. Down the road with you my dear the air is clean and fine. And as all things pass we can watch and laugh as we pick our grapes from the vine. The road is long and hard my dear and we will have to walk the line. Stay with me and we'll surely be on the road till the day that we die.

about

Ten Thousand Miles is the debut album of The Dump Trumpet. It marks the first full length solo project release from Dave Benedict, trumpet player with The Go Show and Winslow Family.
Ten Thousand Miles was written and recorded over a period of nine months. Started in Tempe, Az and finished in Nashville, Tn, this collection of songs was recorded for my friends and family, hopefully to give more insight on some of the things I have done, seen, learned and experienced while being so far away and traveling the United States. It is an album that brings closure to a time of my life, and at the same time, opens the door to a whole new one.

Mid-Night Warriors
by Annika Garman

Travelers of the day and night
Pirates of the highway
On pavement and loose gravel
We have yet to grow tired of the yellow and white lines that draw us to our newest home

From the high tides on an evergreen coast
To the swamp lands of nestled rivers,
home to many winged angels and demons
With you I will go, after you I will follow

General Sherman has met the captain
My starfish have swam with your alligators
And creatures of all descents walk down the streets in Chinatown

Let us not forget the beers we have spilled
And let us not describe the fairies that danced in our dreams
The flamingoes will never believe our stories of waterfalls in the rainforests
And the salmon won't stay long enough for you to finish recalling the many steps it takes to climb to the top

From snowcapped mountains perfectly placed between the oceans shore and the buildings of the city
To a 7 mile bridge drawing us to the center of the sea
With you I will follow, I am forever yours to sit in the passenger seat as we follow the white and yellow lines to our homes for the night.
